Featured Project: Portarlington Library, by Dunnes Building Services Limited

Refurbishment of the Portarlington Library in county Laois has been carried out by CIF member Dunnes Building Services Limited. 

Dunnes Building Services carried out a complete refurbishment and extension of the existing courthouse and library to transform the building into a new public library facility upon winning the competitive tender for the main contractor and PSCS works on this project.

The works included substantial temporary propping of the existing facility, external insulation and rendering, new full height windows and doors and a complete fit-out of the interior, including all mechanical and electrical services. The project was delivered on time and within budget. It was recently nominated as a finalist for the Local Authority Community & Council Awards for best Public Building.
