Construction Industry Federation extends sympathy to the family of Owen O’Callaghan.

23 Jan 2017

The Construction Industry Federation today expressed its sympathy to the family of Owen O’Callaghan on his sad passing earlier today.

CIF Regional Director, Conor O’Connell, stated that,

“Owen O’Callaghan was a figurehead for the construction industry in the region and that through his vision, determination and business acumen he brought many projects, investment and jobs to Cork in his many developments over the last number of years and decades. Many of these projects would simply not have happened without his foresight and personal determination to develop Cork and the region as a whole.”

Chairman of the Cork Branch, Cormac Smith, went on to say that,

“Owen was a thorough gentleman and an inspiring businessman to all of those involved in the construction industry in Cork and indeed Ireland. Cork would not be the successful place it is today without people like Owen who was passionate about Cork and Cork’s economic development. He will be sadly missed by all his colleagues in the construction industry.”
