CIF E-learning platform launched to bring expert training to you

Robert ButlerThe CIF has launched an E-learning platform aimed at those who want to upskill but don’t have time or don’t wish to travel long distances for class-based courses. We’re all getting busier and many are travelling long-distances to urban centres such as Dublin and Cork for project.

Through the CIF’s e-learning platform, you can or your employees can access quality training without the cost of time lost through travel. It’s full of up-to-date and in-depth knowledge that will further enhance your understanding of the construction industry and the current business landscape.

All you need to do is log onto http://bit.ly/2iItmoR Users will have 24 hour access, seven days a week to the courses.  Attending these courses will help fulfil your CPD requirements.

The initial CIF E-learning course content focuses on the Contracting and Legislation areas for sub-contractors.  However, this course may also be very useful for main contractors as it provides a better understanding of how the system works for all concerned. This course is hugely commercially important for you as you navigate tendering and procurement.

The programme content has been developed by sectorial experts providing attendees with practical insights that will help you organisation’s ability to tender and operate in the sector.

Throughout 2017, the CIF E-learning platform will also introduce the following content:

  • The Core Safety Management Renewal Programme (available from today) provides an opportunity for those who have already attended our Core Safety programmes (MSIC, PSCS, PSDP) to update knowledge, as well as their cards and certificate.
  • A number of Building Regulations modules that are currently only available via classroom delivery, for those looking to improve their knowledge and understanding of BCAR and building regulation.
  • An eight module Industrial Relations programme, which will provide learners with an up to date and increased awareness of key Human Resources and Industrial Relations practices.
  • An online site induction programme for workers from all sectors of the industry ahead of working on site.

This range of exciting programmes and products will be available to our members in 2017 and I am looking forward to rolling out the programme of work with our partners Dillon Production in the coming months.

The CIF will continue to add to the platform to meet the ever-changing demands of the industry. If you have any suggestions or request please feel free to contact me and we can discuss.  Overall, the move to e-learning will complement the many class-based learning programmes the CIF provides.
