Construction Safety Week will take place from October 23rd – 27th October 2017
To say that we were blown away by the enthusiasm and imagination that member companies put into Construction Safety Week last year would be a major understatement.
The sheer volume of events held on and off site and the pictures shared throughout this very important week last year was truly inspiring and showed the vital role companies of all shapes and sizes have to play in prioritising safety right across our industry.
Construction Safety Week, a joint initiative from CIF and the Construction Safety Partnership Advisory Committee, is back for 2017 and it is set to be even bigger and better, building on the success of last year’s campaign.
Already we have heard from a number of CIF member companies, who are planning to pull out all the stops, through events, talks and other unique initiatives.
This year we will be recognising the brightest and best efforts from across all sectors, in small, medium and large companies across Ireland.
Tell us about what you are planning and we will highlight your event across our social media platforms CIF.ie, Construction Magazine and our weekly newsletter- ensuring the optimum publicity and recognition of your efforts.
Share your safety initiatives, events, pictures and videos with us and together let’s make this Construction Safety Week better than ever before.
Our collective mission for Construction Safety Week is to partner together to:
- Reduce accidents on construction sites in Ireland.
- Increase awareness of the importance of being committed to safety and health every day.
- Inspire all of us to share best practices and to work together to strengthen our industry’s safety culture.
- Celebrate the safety achievements of our industry to date.
Each day of Construction Safety Week 2017 will have a different theme:
- Safety at Heights – Monday
- Plant & Machinery- Tuesday
- Occupational Health – Dust- Wednesday
- Mental Health – Thursday
- Driving for Work- Friday
The CIF welcomes and encourages all member companies to get involved and use the Safety Week logo on your websites and social media channels.
