Government Measures to Support Business
The construction industry is included in the first phase of the Government’s plan starting on the 18th May. Many companies are now assessing sites to ensure they are safe for workers to operate post May 18th. Finally, the environment when industry reopens will be challenging but our industry will step up. To support companies reopening, the Government has set out a suite of measures to help cope with COVID-19. Information is available here.
If you missed our updates, you can find all statements on our dedicated page for COVID-19 related posts. A condition of opening sites will be the completion by all workers of the C-19 online induction. This should be completed online and all details can be found here. If you missed the resource pack, click here to download it.
The CIF COVID-19 induction has now been completed by over 52,000 people with a 5 star rating by 98% of those completing the online programme. We have now opened the induction programme to anyone in the industry and we would encourage you to ask your employees and sub-contractors to complete the induction now to avoid any delays as we move towards the 18th May.
