Minding your Mental Health

Webinar Promoting Mental Health

We are all looking forward to getting back to work on Monday but it has been a challenging time for some more than others. Our brand ambassador, Rory O’Connor (Rory’s Stories), is very passionate about the importance of minding your mental health. Rory has experienced struggles in the past and is using his profile to help others that are struggling now.

Rory is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, May 20th to talk about mental health. It’s important to remember that depression and anxiety can not simply be pushed to one side. The best way to tackle them is to talk about it.

During the webinar, Rory and other panelists from the CIF will discuss the challenges of maintaining positive mental health and general wellbeing. In the current climate, looking after our mental health has become more important than ever, so Rory & the CIF have taken his Toolbox Talks online, in the hope of helping people better look after themselves during these challenging times.

Although a serious subject, Rory brings fun to his talks, mixing in some classic Rory’s Stories, in the hope that everyone enjoys and takes something from the conversation.

The HSE offers a range of supports online and there are many charities that are also there to support those who are struggling. Sometimes you just need to pick up the phone and give a friend or family member a call – let them know that you need some extra support. As Rory has always said – there’s nothing weak about admitting you need some help. Our lives are busy and demanding – the lockdown might have forced us to stay home, but there is no place to hide from your thoughts.

To register for the webinar on May 20th at 12pm, simply submit your details here.

We will then send you the access details before the event. In the meantime, stay safe and reach out if you need help. If you or someone you know is struggling, there are lots of ways to get support. The list below is just a small percentage of them. We hope you will attend this webinar and share it with your friends and family. You never know – it might be just the nudge they need to get help themselves.
