On 13 July 2021, the CIF in conjunction with Engineers Ireland and SCSI hosted a webinar on “Private Sector Contract and Force Majeure”.
The Private Sector Contract for Building and Engineering Works Designed by the Employer was launched in September 2020 and a Standing Committee was established to manage, maintain and update the conditions of contract.
During this webinar, members of Private Sector Contract Standing Committee consider the topic of force majeure and whether amendments to the current conditions of contract are warranted. Speakers include Ciaran Fahy, John Curtin, Conor Hogan and Anthony Hussey.
