The Construction Industry Federation (CIF) is the voice of the Irish Construction Industry. CIF is a member led representative organisation, providing a broad range of services that help our members in navigating the political, business, economic and regulatory environment.
The Membership Department
The Membership Department is positioned within the CIF to manage our member relationships, both in attracting and onboarding new members and in maintaining existing relationships while continuously striving to excel in our service delivery and extend our offering to members.
The CIF is seeking to recruit a Head of Membership to lead a small team in delivering on their agenda and building our membership and satisfaction levels.
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Affairs, this position is essential to the success of the CIF and offers a genuine opportunity for a professional and energetic manager to make an impact on the success of the Membership team and the CIF.
About the role
This role is based in the Dublin office. The role will benefit from our remote working policy. The successful individual will play a crucial role in generating revenue and developing new Member opportunities for the CIF. This person will be a champion and advocate for the CIF and the invaluable benefits of membership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Membership department to ensure it is attracting and retaining members, while maximising results, productivity and continually striving for improvement.
- Build and maintain effective and transparent working relationships with the senior leadership team.
- Liaise and collaborate with other CIF departments in developing and building relationships with member organisations promoting member interests.
- Management of the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system to ensure that membership engagement and delivery is recorded by all departments.
- Utilisation of the CRM to provide timely and regular reporting on membership numbers and engagement to offer insights and make recommendations based on data analysis and member feedback.
- Lead the Membership department in proactively implementing and actioning the relevant objectives in the CIF Strategic Plan 2024 – 2026.
- Proactively manage all external communications in conjunction with relevant stakeholders to ensure widespread awareness of our membership services and delivery.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with member and non-member companies to create a positive customer experience to ensure member satisfaction while generating new opportunities.
- Ensure membership targets are achieved and that the department is run effectively with financial due diligence to the forefront.
- Develop and maintain relationships with CIF corporate partners and explore future possible partnerships.
- Drive Email marketing by the team by using the CIF marketing platform to promote our vast business services available to CIF members, including our extensive training offering.
- Promote our member services on social media with strict adherence to CIF branding guidelines to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
- Attending CIF & Non-CIF events as a CIF champion to network with established members and customers while engaging with a wider network of potential members.
- Manage and develop the team to ensure their engagement and professional growth in their respective roles.
About the person
- Relevant academic qualification to a minimum NFQ Level 7 or
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a people management role, ideally in professional membership environment.
- Previous experience in a consultative sales or customer focused role including developing leads and generating revenue would be an advantage.
- Ability to operationalise strategic plans into tangible, sustainable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail focused and analytical, with strong organisational and prioritisation
- A high performing, target driven individual who is passionate about delivering an outstanding customer service experience.
- Ability to effectively use CRM systems and marketing platforms.
- An ability to work collaboratively with others in a small team to achieve a common goal.
