CIF Safety Week – H.S.A. Briefing

Brian Molloy, Health & Safety Authority Inspector will deliver a presentation in the Castletroy Park Hotel, Limerick on Thursday the 28th October at 8.30 a.m. (Registration from 8.15am)
Items covered will include:-
- HSA Strategy Statement 2022-2024: (What topics HSA Inspectors will be looking at when visiting construction sites in the coming months.)
- Overview of recent prosecutions, accidents statistics and costs.
- Initiatives that the HSA has developed to help business comply with health and safety regulation Including BeSMART.ie, a free online that gives you the tools to prepare your own construction site specific safety statement or construction stage safety and health plan and risk assessments for your site(s) online completely FREE of charge.
- Working safely at height
- Q&A Session.
This briefing is open to all CIF members but is particularly suited to members who are
- Owner/Managers of small and medium businesses.
- Safety Mangers.
- Site Managers.
Brian Molloy, Inspector, Business and Education Support, the HSA
Brian Molloy works with the Business and Education Support (BES) Unit of the Health and Safety Authority. The BES team develop supports and tools to help business comply with health and safety regulation and provide programmes and resources for the education system. Brian joined the HSA as an inspector in 2006 and is a Chartered Member of Institution of Occupational Safety and Health. Brian worked as a Construction Inspector for the Southeast region of Ireland before joining the Taking Care of Business Unit in 2011. Brian has led the development and promotion of BeSMART.ie for the construction sector which includes 39 business types including the Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) business type along with additional resources for the sector such as the construction site traffic management plan and tool box talks.
CPD – Those who attend the briefing will be eligible to claim 1 Structured CPD point under the CIRI CPD requirements.
