Administrator, Construction Industry Register Ireland (CIRI)
The Organisation
The Construction Industry Federation (CIF) is the voice of the Irish Construction Industry. CIF is a member led representative organisation, providing a broad range of services that help our members in navigating the political, business, economic and regulatory environment.
At the core of our mission lies our commitment to promptly address the needs of our 1,400 members. By maintaining ongoing engagement with our membership base, we refine and tailor our services to remain meaningful, relevant and responsive
The Construction Industry Register Ireland (CIRI)
The Regulation of Providers of Building Works and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2022 was enacted and signed into law by the President on 5 July 2022. In early 2023 the government appointed the CIF as the CIRI Registration Body, and an Admissions and Registration Board was established in late 2023. A CIRI Registrar was appointed by the CIF in January 2024. The relevant government department is the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage (DHLGH), headed by Minister James Browne.
As a result of the 2022 Act, a new statutory register is in development, making it mandatory for all providers of building works to be registered. This register will be known as the Construction Industry Register Ireland (CIRI). CIRI will be an online register of competent builders, developers, specialists and tradespersons. The register will be recognised as the primary online resource for public and private procurement of buildings and related services.
The CIF is now recruiting a proactive and results-driven CIRI Administrator to support the operations for the current Voluntary Construction Register (VCR) and the upcoming statutory CIRI register development, implementation, management and maintenance.
About the role
This permanent, full time role is based in the CIF’s Dublin office at Charlemont Place, Dublin 2 and will benefit from our remote working policy. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the start up of a new online register and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for providers of building works in Ireland. Relevant training will be provided as required.
Reporting to the CIRI Registrar, the successful candidate will add to the current CIRI staff. They will also liaise closely and work with other CIF departments including IT, communications, training and development and member services. Engagement with the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage will also be part of the role.
