Everywhere you look, the construction industry has designed and built all that you see – hospitals, houses, roads, bridges, schools, colleges, sports clubs, and all other built infrastructure that we rely on every day to make our lives better.
Women currently make up just 9% of the construction workforce, but this falls to 1% for on-site trades. Attracting more women into the sector is a priority to grow a more diverse industry and to ensure that Ireland can meet its building targets.
