Ireland’s challenge is no longer about plans. It’s about delivery. As the country enters a decade where housing, energy, transport and water infrastructure must scale rapidly, the system that plans, funds, enables and builds must work together with sharper coordination and unified direction.

The CIF Annual Conference 2026 brings that system into one room. This is a delivery‑first event focused on what Ireland aims to build between now and 2035 and what must change to make it possible.

With the Government’s Accelerating Infrastructure and Delivering Homes, Building Communities plans in place, Ireland now has a blueprint for progress. But momentum must accelerate in 2026–2027. The publication of sectoral plans is a significant step, but pipelines need greater clarity, bottlenecks persist, and viability challenges are pushing top Irish construction companies to seek work across Europe. We need them building at home, and they want to build at home.

This conference will examine the real pipeline across housing, energy, transport, health, education and water, assess whether the system is set up to deliver, and identify the reforms and practical actions needed to remove barriers, streamline processes and get projects moving.

Senior industry leaders, policymakers, utilities, local authorities and investors will come together to address planning timelines, procurement challenges, utility interfaces, financing models, capacity constraints and infrastructure readiness. The focus is on clarity, solutions and delivery, not theory.
