The Role
With the aim of strengthening its services to members, the CIF is recruiting an Executive to serve as a PMO resource for the organisation. The Executive will support an important transformation programme; help embed a project/programme management culture across the organisation; and track CIF accountability, success and impact for its members.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the PMO Executive will support the development and monitoring of an annual CIF business plan and its deliverables; coordinate the delivery of critical cross-CIF projects and initiatives; create and maintain a dashboard that tracks KPIs on organisation and industry performance; and ensure the effective operation of senior leadership structures.
This role is full-time and will be based in the Dublin office. It will benefit from our remote working policy. Some travel will be occasionally required with the role.
Key Responsibilities:
The PMO Executive will have the following key responsibilities:
- Coordination of and reporting on the delivery of critical CIF projects, ensuring clear responsibilities, milestones and timelines for delivery, and a tracker which flags issues or risks
- Supporting the development and monitoring of the annual CIF business plan, ensuring it is focused on key business objectives, with regular progress reports feeding into governance senior leadership structures
- Creating and updating a dashboard or scorecard which sets out key KPIs that track internal and external effectiveness, member engagement and growth, and industry success, on an ongoing basis
- Embedding a PMO and delivery culture across the organisation, by rolling out tools, templates and training that can support a structured approach across all functions
- Supporting senior leadership structures, by ensuring a clear strategic focus to meetings which reflect all aspects of the organisation over time, and that meetings are well planned with circulation of key documentation sufficiently in advance
- Supporting the delivery of specific CEO sponsored projects to meet members needs
- Supporting CEO reporting to the Executive Body and A&O committee, updating plans, deliverables, timelines, KPIs and key lobbying messages for each meeting
- Monitoring and alerting the CEO to any lack of engagement or progress in delivering on business objectives or agreed plans, or any concerning KPI trends, and supporting the development of a remedial action plan in response.
Key Requirements:
The successful candidate will have:
- A track record in performing a PMO role in a complex organisation or stakeholder environment
Knowledge of project and programme management tools - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to present data in a highly visual and engaging format.
- Experience of developing dashboards or balanced scorecards that track performance and wider industry trends
- Understanding of industry and economic metrics and trends
- Experience in supporting leadership or management teams, or other senior decision-making groups or structures, and particularly the facilitation of effective, focused meetings
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, and an ability to use technology to enhance output
- Strong team player, who supports and collaborates with colleagues to achieve organisational goals
- Self-starter attributes possessing the necessary drive and resilience to succeed
