i. Primary Sub-themes: (i) Critical Risks – Work @ Height (we work a lot of high level and roof works, ladders, MEWP so this is very relevant to our business)

ii. Secondary Sub-themes: Leadership – Directors, Contract managers – we have a very safety minded leadership team by senior members, and very senior members are very interactive with all levels of technicians from apprentices to site managers, very good engagement.

During the campaign we will be engaging IPAF to carry out in person presentations on our projects, UK-based workplace wellbeing company Musgrove & Ball will deliver their powerful message to our teams, and Fergus Farrell will join us from the United States as he continues with Walk Across America in support of Spinal Injuries Ireland.

Initiatives planned: the hosting of daily toolbox talks and relevant safety demonstrations to engage our workforce and sub-contractors within same.

The IIRSM Ireland Branch will be promoting this years Back to Basics topics via promotion with our members through our communication and media feeds focussing on:

• Beyond Compliance

Planned events – Site inclusive safety presentations from all sustaining contractors to cover site specific topics in keeping with the CIF safety campaign themes. Confirmed presentations on Mental Health and Wellbeing, Hazardous Energies, Safety Leadership and Critical risks.

Initiatives planned – Initiatives planned for the campaign include hosting a series of coordinated events with the supply chain focused on key project risks and critical safety controls. Activities will include safety demonstrations, practical workshops, and workforce engagement sessions designed to raise awareness, share best practice, and reinforce expected standards across all contractors and operatives.

Toolbox Talks covering:

1. Good Housekeeping
2. Collaborative and good communications- linked to the MGME company values
3. Considering health and wellbeing to be just as important as safety

3. Frontline Workers:- Town Hall meetings hosted by Contract and Project Managers with all site and office personnel. Question- How can we better prevent injury and accidents at work?
4. Leadership:- Seminar on Prevention:- Senior Managers hosted by the Directors use Town Hall feed back to set out a revitalised road map of prevention for the company.
5. Beyond Compliance :- Living safety systems; plan, do, check, act. Organising sites and material flows for safe and efficient construction.
