Eastern Region

CIF operates four Branches in the Eastern region:

  • Kildare Branch
  • North East Branch covering counties Meath, Louth and Monaghan
  • Kilkenny / Carlow Branch
  • Wicklow / North Wexford Branch

Branches meet regularly throughout the year and a number of events are organised on a regional basis for members in the Eastern Region. James Benson – Director of Housing, Planning & Development

James Benson is a qualified Engineer and Quantity Surveyor graduating from Waterford Institute of Technology and Dublin Institute of Technology respectively. James spent several years of his professional career surveying with building contractors before specializing in the field of passive fire protection before joining CIF.

James offers support and advise to the members, liaison with local authorities and is developing a field of expertise within building regulations and planning services for members.

He also services the following regional branches of the CIF – Kildare, Kilkenny/ Carlow, North East, Wicklow/ North Wexford.

Lorcan Cooke – Executive, Eastern Region and Housing Services

Lorcan Cooke is an Executive for the CIF Eastern Region and Housing Services team. He is a qualified Engineer and Building Energy Rating (BER) Assessor, graduating from Technological University Dublin, Bolton street.

Lorcan has five years’ experience working in the Construction industry, providing technical sales advice in order to meet building regulations and energy performance for both domestic and commercial buildings.

Lorcan services the Eastern region branches of the CIF which includes Kildare, Kilkenny/ Carlow, North East and Wicklow/ North Wexford. He offers support and advice to CIF members in relation to Housing, Planning and Development and Building Regulations, liaises with local authorities and key industry stakeholders, to be guest speakers at morning briefings and other events in the Eastern Region.
